Casel Equi Vest. A flexible vest offering extra protection down the spine and over the shoulders. Vest is adjustable throughout the shoulders with a large, secure velcro pad and at the sides with an elastic pull tab. Vests are made of a soft sweat-wicking material inside, pads of shock absorbing material, and a outer layer of durable mesh for breathability. Because the vest is designed with pads rather than a solid one piece construction, the vest flexes with your body. These vests are very adjustable and tend to fit women very well. A light, flexible and comfortable vest. Made in Canada. $199.00 To order, please click here for special order form. This will guide you through sizing. All vests are treated as custom orders because we want to be sure you get the right size the first time! Casel Equi vests are available in black, silver, navy, royal, red, hunter, and burgundy with a choice of trims. All color combinations are the same price, but some many take longer than others. Don't know which vest to go with? Here's my two cents from fitting vests over the years. Both vests are equally protective. The Casel Equi often fits women better, especially if you are really thin or small. The Casel also seems to have a bit more padding over the shoulders and down the spine. However, the Tipperary is certainly the lighter vest, and the clear choice for most men. Men will also tend to take a long size in it. That said, I think that these two vests are the most flexible, comfortable and protective that are on the market. Fitting your vest: Basically, your vest should be snug around the sides, especially at the waist. This keeps it from riding up. It should come down just over your tailbone in the back and come down over your ribs in the front. Make sure that it is not too long in the back, or it will hit your saddle. Also, make sure that it isn't loose or baggy around the neck or it will form an air pocket as you gallop. |
